  • Breadbery is an artisan bakery located in the heart of Chisinau, Moldova — a tourist hub that attracts both locals and visitors with its cultural offering.
Breadbery appeared in the very center of Chisinau — a city with many tourists, but so many bakeries that it is difficult to be remembered among them. This bakery must become more than just another place to buy bread — it wanted to offer a cultural experience and a story, turning a familiar product into a piece of myth. Our task was to create a brand that inspires, tells a story, and stays in people’s memory.

Problem

In oversaturated food and beverage market, emotional experience becomes essential. If a place doesn’t leave an impression, it disappears from the customer’s mind. Breadbery needed an identity that wouldn’t rely on pricing or trendy decor — but rather on narrative, aesthetic, and atmosphere.

Solution

The core concept is built around the character of Breadbery — a writer and explorer who ventures beyond planets in search of the perfect loaf. This myth allowed us to shape a unique brand narrative rooted in craftsmanship, ecological values, and cultural curiosity. The identity combines literary layout and utilitarian graphic style: centered typesetting, antique serif fonts, the Space Mono typewriter font, handwritten logotype, and an ex libris-style secondary mark. The visual tone draws inspiration from retro-futurism — from The Little Prince to the aesthetics of 1950s science fiction book covers. Illustrations, technical annotations, and the hero’s journey form both the visual and verbal language of the brand.

Result

At launch, we developed a full identity system: graphic identity with dual logotypes and typographic structure, Illustration style referencing science fiction and research notes, photographic and object styling, menu layout as a craft "field journal" with edible "specimens", visual artifacts: uniforms, packaging, interior elements. Around a simple and familiar product, we built a complete story — with characters, mythology, and a visual language where every design choice supports memorability and emotional connection.
